Recently, Venus Medtech was awarded as TOP 10 Most Innovative Medical Device Company in China in 2021 at the 6th China Health Industry Upgrading Summit. This event was steered by the Health Commission of Sichuan Province and the Chinese Medical Information and Big Data Association, with the support of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and other sponsors.

 

TOP10 Most Innovative Medical Device Companies in China in 2021

The selection of Top10 most innovative medical device companies assessed the most innovative and vibrant players in China’s healthcare sector, factoring in both hard indicators such as financing progress and operation performance and soft indicators such as innovation, product differentiation, and product/service quality. Ten pioneering medical device providers were selected for the award.

 

Driven by innovation

As the world's leading provider of transcatheter structural heart valvular therapies, Venus Medtech boasts VenusA-Valve, the first transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) product approved for commercialization in China. It is also the only TAVR product with proven safety of more than five years. VenusA-Plus, our second-generation product, commenced the "retrievable era" of aortic valve replacement in China. It is also the first second-generation transcatheter aortic valve replacement product approved in China.

Venus Medtech's innovative dry-tissue aortic valves will be in clinical trials., which include Venus Vitae, an internationally patented wire-controlled balloon-expandable dry-tissue valve product, Venus PowerX, the world's first 100% retrievable self-expanding product, and surgical dry-tissue valve products.

 

Since the start of the year, Venus Medtech has taken major steps toward a comprehensive platform for innovative structural heart disease devices. In June, Venus Medtech established Renaly, a joint venture with Healium Medical, to introduce next-generation innovative renal denervation (RDN) devices. Healium Medical is an Israeli high-tech company dedicated to researching and developing the therapeutic and imaging capabilities of ultrasound energy. In October, Venus Medtech acquired Nuocheng Medical and added the Liwen RF radiofrequency ablation system for the treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) to its portfolio.
